PARKING
UCSB charges a separate parking fee. It’s best to pay in advance on their website. (In 2024, the fee was $8/car per night). We will provide that link to registrants well before the event. After checking in at registration, you will be directed to the area clearly marked Drop Luggage Here. You will then be directed to the parking area.
DO NOT PARK in employee parking.
DISABLED PERSON PARKING PLACARD
Indicate that you have a Disabled Person Parking Placard when you register.
LATE ARRIVALS
If you plan to arrive after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, please notify one of the committee members prior to Thursday before the weekend. (Contact info will be included in your confirmation letter or please use CONTACT US.)
DRESS AND PACKING
Casual clothes are the norm. We recommend bringing a sweater, as it may get chilly at night. Bring walking shoes, a swimsuit and towel, shower shoes, workout clothes, and yoga mat if you like. We may offer yoga during the weekend. Bring a refillable water bottle. Filtered water is available near the workshop rooms and from your suite refrigerator.
FREE TIME
Along with many meetings and workshops to choose from, there is ample time for “caring and sharing” and getting to know one another. Campus and the surrounding area have walking/hiking trails, basketball/volleyball courts, a well-equipped workout room, a swimming pool, and the beach one mile away. We hope you’ll enjoy these opportunities for “sun and fun.” A schedule of planned activities will be in your registration packet.
NO TAPING or FILMING ALLOWED to ensure everyone’s unanimity.
NO SOLICITATIONS
The Woman to Woman Weekend is “for fun and for free.”
VALUABLES
Do not bring any valuables. Neither the Committee nor UCSB is responsible for any lost or stolen items. You may want to bring cash to buy soda or commemoratives.
SLEEP
Bring ear plugs, an alarm clock, a small fan if you like. Sheets, a thin blanket and pillow are provided; bring additional blankets, pillows and towels if desired. The towels provided by UCSB are not allowed at the beach so bring a beach towel if you need it.
BED HEIGHT
Please be aware that each bed is 37″ captain’s height (roughly kitchen counter height). If you need your bed lowered, you must indicate that on your registration form AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. UCSB charges an additional fee to lower beds, so please only request this if necessary.
SMOKING
UCSB is a COMPLETELY SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS. You will need to leave the campus to smoke. (There is a sidewalk area within walking distance, off campus, across the street, where you can smoke.) Smoking is also not allowed in the parking lots.
MEALS
A wide variety of buffet food is provided, sufficient to accommodate most diets. Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch are provided. Links with UCSB dietary information will be provided on the WEEKEND LINKS page prior to the event. Sodas and sparkling water are available in Hospitality for $1 each.
FOR QUESTIONS check out the FAQ page.
LASTLY, Please Be Flexible…
This is our third year at this wonderful venue and there may be a few more bumps. Please bear with us and pitch in to help if you see a need. You can always grab a committee member to help solve any problems that come up (look for our “Committee” ribbons). Your patience and grace are very much appreciated. It’s a beautiful campus and we love being there already. See you in Santa Barbara!!!
